Description
You only need 3 ingredients to make vegan cinnamon butter! This Texas Roadhouse copycat goes perfectly with homemade rolls, sweet potatoes, and pancakes.
Ingredients
- 1 stick (110 g) salted vegan butter, at room temperature
- ¼ cup (35 g) powdered sugar
- ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon vegan honey (See Notes)
Instructions
- Combine the cinnamon and powdered sugar together, then mix in the softened vegan butter and the optional "honey".
- You may save the buttery spread in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Bring it down to room temperature before use to make quenelles, or refrigerate it in different shapes.
Notes
Vegan Honey, Light Molasses, or Golden Syrup (Light Treacle): Using vegan "honey" doesn't change the taste too much, but improves the texture. Many grocery stores sell vegan honey nowadays, which is basically flavored golden syrup.
Butter: I used Earth Balance salted butter sticks. Miyoko's makes a more gourmet, cultured vegan butter. Whichever butter alternative you use, just bring it to room temperature (don't melt it) to make the spread. If using unsalted butter, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
